Our relentless drive to gain promotion continued with a hard fought win over City side Sarsfields. First half goals from Tommy Devlin and Martin Hunter gave us a 5 point interval lead on a 2-6 to 1-4 scoreline. The other scorers this half were 2 points each from Martin McAuley, Tommy Devlin and Martin Hunter.
The second half turned into a bit of a struggle on a wide Sarsfields' pitch. However, a goal from a 20 metre free, from Martin McAuley just after the break, gave us the confidence to go on and win a game that possibly we should have had wrapped up by half-time.
Second half scorer's were Martin McAuley 1-6, and the fourth goal coming from Fionntan McCarry.
