Carey secured their promotion to Division 2 with an emphatic victory over the Antrim Junior Championship winners, St. Mary's, at the end of November. Early goals from Martin Hunter and Ciaran Mc Caughan, and a litany of points had us 2-8 to no score, ahead after 15 minutes. Further goals from Martin Mc Auley, Martin Hunter and Tommy Devlin left us ahead at half-time on a scoreline of 5-12 to 0-1. After the break, despite using all substitutes, we still continued to dominate play. A further goal from Ciaran Mc Caughan and with most of the forwards getting in on the act, we ran out easy winners on the day.
